After completion of the course, the successful ap­plicant should be thoroughly familiar with the basic scientific principles and operational approaches related to fatigue management.

 

Training consists of:

  • The scientific principles that underpin fatigue management

  • Individual responsibilities 

  • Responsibilities of service providers and operators

  • Causes and consequences of fatigue in the operation

  • Identification of fatigue in oneselve and others

  • Reporting of fatigue

  • Personal strategies to improve sleep at home and to minimize own fatigue risk and that of others, while they are on duty

  • Sleep disorders and their treatment

  • Requirements relating to fitness for duty

  • Requirements relating to food and nutrition
